Alliance with Center for Personal Protection and Safety Strengthens iJET University Traveler and Workplace Safety Curricula
Annapolis, Maryland - September 15, 2008
iJET Intelligent Risk Systems, a leading provider of global intelligence and business resiliency services, today launched a suite of intelligence, travel and security related training programs. This new educational initiative, iJET University, enables organizations to protect their people, supply chains and assets from an increasing number of threats by arming employees with skills and knowledge in key areas of risk.
As part of the new program, iJET announced a strategic alliance with the Center for Personal Protection and Safety (CPPS), an educational institution with expertise in international travel safety, workplace violence, crisis negotiation, abduction prevention and hostage survival.
iJET University provides training programs and support for multinational organizations and their employees in a number of key risk and business resiliency areas:
These new offerings are easily integrated into a company’s overall risk management program and are available on-site, online and in public courses. Organizations will also benefit from iJET’s expertise on a wide array of risk management and business resiliency issues and learn best practices from industry insiders.
“We realize that a key element to an organization’s risk management program is access to the most up-to-date information, training and resources,” said Bruce McIndoe, iJET’s president and an instructor with iJET University. “iJET University will serve as a central resource for companies seeking to fulfill requirements or expand their business resiliency practices with enhanced training programs.”
iJET University courses are delivered by iJET staff and through alliances with seasoned training and educational firms, including CPPS.
iJET will offer CPPS’ online video trainings and on-site classes, which provide training on staying safe while traveling; recognizing, preparing for and preventing workplace violence; and preventing and responding to campus shootings – a significant concern for many educational institutions in the wake of the tragedies at Virginia Tech and Northern Illinois University.
CPPS online video courses offered through iJET University include:
“The real difference between a trained and untrained individual is how well they deal with a crisis, whether in the workplace or traveling abroad,” said Randy Spivey, executive director of CPPS. “We are excited to work with iJET to provide training that helps people build resiliency to prevent crises and teach them how to respond if an incident should occur.”
iJET University is the latest component of iJET’s business resiliency services and solutions. Companies and organizations that adopt business resiliency are better prepared for and protected from risks, providing customers, investors and other key stakeholders assurance of the company’s future as well as providing a competitive edge in today’s global marketplace.
