iJET's Henry DeGeneste selected as member of New York State UACT Commission
Newly formed special task force will review statewide anti-terrorism programs and make recommendations to improve security and preparedness

Annapolis, Maryland - July 12, 2006 — Henry DeGeneste, iJET’s Vice President of Risk Management, has been selected by James Tedisco, Minority Leader of the New York State Assembly, to become a founding member of the UACT Task Force (Unified Against the Challenges of Terrorism). The UACT Task Force will function as an independent entity comprised of experts in the legal, medical and law enforcement fields. The task force will serve as a mechanism to review the existing policies and programs that have been implemented at the state level and will offer recommendations to improve security in New York.

The UACT commission will hold statewide hearings for the general public to express their concerns and opinions regarding security and safety measures and the state’s ability to respond to another terrorist attack. In addition, members of the commission will establish preparedness training sessions for both the general public and first responders on what to do in the event of a terrorist attack.

DeGeneste brings a long and distinguished career to the task force both as Director of Public Safety and Superintendent of Police for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey and in his previous position as Vice President of Global Security at Prudential Financial. DeGeneste is currently Vice President of Risk Management at iJET Intelligent Risk Systems, where he also serves on the Security Intelligence Board and Maritime Intelligence Board. In these roles, he provides oversight, guidance and implementation review of iJET’s Worldcue® intelligence-driven, risk management solutions for protecting business operations, people and other assets for global organizations.

“Terrorism is not going away in our lifetime. New York and other states need to prepare their citizens and first responders to deal with this unfortunate fact,” says Bruce McIndoe, iJET’s Chief Executive Officer. “Henry has deep and practical experience in this area, and we are pleased to help support the State of New York on this important initiative.”
