Manugistics Founder and Former CEO Joins iJET Board
Annapolis, Maryland - April 6, 2004 - iJET Travel Risk Management, the industry leader in real-time travel risk management services for multinational corporations, today announced that William Gibson has joined iJET´s Board of Directors. Mr. Gibson is a software and supply chain market veteran with more than 25 years of experience delivering application solutions to Fortune 1000 companies.
From 1982 to 2001, Gibson founded, built and directed Manugistics Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: MANU), a leading provider of supply chain management and eMarketplace solutions. As Chairman, President and CEO, he pioneered the creation of the supply chain market and was instrumental in helping Manugistics grow to revenues in excess of $250 million. Since retiring, Gibson has served as Managing Partner of The Albermarle Group, a privately held investment firm. Concurrent with Mr. Gibson´s appointment to iJET´s Board of Directors, The Albermarle Group has invested in iJET."In an increasingly complex world, the information, technology and services that iJET delivers offer significant value to their clients," said Gibson. "I believe the infrastructure and management team is in place to produce a period of rapid growth. I am excited about the opportunity to contribute to this process."
Mr. Gibson´s business and community contributions have been recognized over the years by various organizations, as exemplified by his selection as Entrepreneur of the Year by both Deloitte & Touche and Ernst and Young. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of companies such as Frictionless Commerce, Solid State Equipment Corporation and Lynnco. In addition, he serves on the Board of Regents of Villanova University and as a Director for Venture Philanthropy Partners.
