iJET Offers GlobalGuardian Service to Semester at Sea Voyageurs

Annapolis, Maryland and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - September 22, 2003 - iJET Travel Risk Management today announced that it will be providing its GlobalGuardian security package to students, faculty and staff involved in Semester at Sea (SAS), an educational program that takes college and university students on shipboard voyages around the world each fall and spring semester. This initiative constitutes the first of its kind in the academic market, and provides around-the-clock travel risk management and emergency assistance.

During the upcoming fall voyage, more than 550 SAS students, faculty and staff will be provided with the GlobalGuardian travel security package, offering integrated risk management services, including iJET´s Travel Intelligence®, tracking and communication capabilities, as well as emergency medical and security assistance from MEDEX Assistance and Kroll, the world's leading companies in their respective fields.

Through GlobalGuardian, SAS participants will have 24-hour, 365-day access to services ranging from medical, security and legal advice to evacuation, repatriation and interpretation. Participants will also have the option of renting an international GSM cellular or satellite phone, or purchasing a prepaid calling card with voicemail and a local access number from every location throughout the voyage.

As terrorism and security concerns persist after 9/11 and the war, the safety of our students and staff remains a top priority," said Julian Asenjo, spokesperson for SAS. "iJET's services will help ensure the most productive, educational and enjoyable experience possible."

"We´re thrilled to be working alongside Semester at Sea," said iJET CEO, Bruce McIndoe. "We can provide SAS with the resources needed to track and communicate with a large body of participants on land and at sea, and keep them together and safe as they move from destination to destination."

Since the program launched in the fall of 1963, more than 38,000 student participants have collectively traveled with SAS to 60 countries around the world. This fall, destinations will include Hong Kong; Kobe, Japan; Salvador, Brazil; and several others before the ship returns to port in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. SAS also offers summer programs that take students to countries in the Pacific Rim.
