iJET to Lead Panel on Disaster Recovery, Resiliency Planning at Continuity Insights Management Conference
CEO Joins Industry Experts to Share Insights and Best Practices in Wake of the Recent Earthquake in Haiti
Annapolis, Maryland - April 7, 2010
ANNAPOLIS, MD. (April 7, 2010) – Steve Hoffman, Chief Executive Officer of iJET Intelligent Risk Systems, a leading provider of global intelligence and business resiliency services, will moderate a panel at the Continuity Insights 2010 Management Conference exploring best practices and key insights for continuity and resiliency planning gleaned from the recent devastating earthquake in Haiti. The panel, comprised of leading continuity practitioners, will address the importance of advanced resiliency planning in preparing an organization to effectively survive and thrive in the wake of a disaster.
For most multinational organizations, the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Haiti in January became a full-scale, real life test of their resiliency plans and initiatives. Today, many of the businesses left standing are attempting to resume operations, despite a tenuous security situation, crumbled infrastructure and a mass exodus out of the area.
Panelists will share how their continuity plans armed their organizations to navigate the aftermath of the earthquake, from identifying employees in need of assistance to providing support and evacuation of travelers and expatriates. Attendees will walk away from this session having gained critical insight into disaster preparedness, best practices for effective resiliency planning and a unique perspective from professionals who are currently re-examining existing plans based on lessons learned from Haiti.
