Veteran Technology Leader Stephen Hoffman Joins iJET as CEO
Strong Leadership Expertise to Accelerate Growth and Expansion

Annapolis, Maryland - October 18, 2007

iJET Intelligent Risk Systems, a leading provider of global intelligence, business resilience technology and integrated emergency response services, announced today that Stephen Hoffman has joined the company as chief executive officer. Former CEO Bruce McIndoe has assumed the roles of President and Vice Chairman of the Board for iJET. This addition is a significant one, as Hoffman’s proven track record of aggressive market leadership and corporate expansion set the stage for iJET’s next phase of growth.

"We are delighted with Steve’s decision to join the iJET leadership team,” said Bruce McIndoe. “We have the right expertise—and the right technology solutions. Steve’s experience growing businesses into new markets will be invaluable, and our company will be the stronger for it. I fully expect Steve’s impact to be immediately apparent.”

“iJET’s value proposition is strong, as evidenced by the strong leadership team, award-winning technology and impressive roster of clients the company serves,” said Stephen Hoffman. “I am very excited to join iJET and look forward to leading the company as we pursue the many opportunities before us.”

As a chief executive, Hoffman is known for his ability to facilitate growth and expansion of technology services and solutions companies, through direct sales, channel partnerships and strategic acquisitions.  Most recently, Hoffman spent four years as CEO of Element K, a business-to-business learning solutions provider. At Element K, Hoffman steered the company to become a leader in Learning Business Process Outsourcing. Prior to that, he was president and COO of Blackboard, Inc., where he oversaw dramatic sales growth across multiple lines of business and successfully integrated several acquisitions. During Hoffman’s two-year tenure, Blackboard nearly quadrupled its revenue as its EBITDA moved from negative to positive. Prior to Blackboard, Hoffman was CEO of Prometric for six years, leading it through a period of dramatic growth resulting in the sale of the business from Sylvan Learning to Thomson Inc.

Hoffman holds BA and MBA degrees from the University of Rochester
